I won me a bronze Stanley award from the Australian Cartoonists Association on the weekend in the Graphic Media Artist category for my Paddington bear editorial illustration for the Daily Telegraph, and also for my Week magazine cover of the Ruddmobile driving over Turnbull.
My hangover's finally receding, just in time for some odd flashbacks of the night to start emerging... !!

My comics are now available in Better Read Than Dead in Newtown, Sydney.
They're appearing on the front counter and all copies there are signed!
A cool shop with cool people (and a non too shabby graphic novel section), BRTD is dead centre in the funky part of the King St strip. If you've not been there yet, now you have the perfect excuse!

Here's a poster I did recently for Mental Health Week for Uni SA.
All for a good cause...

Pulp Fiction Comics in Adelaide, South Australia are now stocking my collected Kookabarry, BeanBoy and Uncle Silas promo comic, so if you live in the city of churches and want to check out my printed wares, head on down and check out the local talent shelf in Peter's snazzy new digs on the ground floor. Only fitting it's stocked in Adelaide- it's where Uncle Silas is set, after all.

Here are the latest illustrations I finished recently for the September BOSS magazine- out now.
The section was devoted to MBA courses and the pressure on for the students and the Universities to be number 1.

Last year's Sydney's Royal Easter Show comic. The Sunday Telegraph had a 'Kid's Walk' all around the show- it was a blue marked trail with Harry's paw prints leading kids all around the place through the farm animal exhibits, woodchopping shows, showbag halls and show rides.

Here are some cartoons I did for 1COVER a while back. It was a fantastic brief- totally exaggerated situations covering all aspects of travel safety: Using suntan lotion in hot climates;not doing activities that cancel or null your travel insurance; taking malaria tablets; avoiding mosquitoes and insects in tropical countries; getting immuno shots; not eating suspicious or potentially bacterially tainted foods; taking a first aid kit; respecting local customs; and not touching local wildlife. The first pic you see was also for their car insurance.

Finally got around to drawing up a Pirello comic, thanks to the prompting of Bernard Caleo and Tango 9: Love and War. While the love sure is here, the war part is perhaps too subtle... I figured it being the struggle of where Pirello sleeps for the night rather than any guns being drawn. Luckily I had pencils of this page already lying around, so the inking into photoshop only took about 4 hours or so.
Naturally this has only served to fuel my ambition of drawing more Pirello strips; pages of notes and ideas scribbled, so little time...

IT JUST GOT EASIER... buy my stuff! I've added PayPal to both my blogs so now you have slightly less excuses to not buy my comics, posters and postcards. Global Fiscal Connundrum be damned.
Heck- I'll sign the comics and I'll even draw a little scribble on one of the postcards for you for nuthin'!
Go on... you know you want to...

The latest Tim Blair Opinion Editorial piece for the Daily Telegraph.
Huge fun. Looking forward to the next one!! You'll have to excuse the gutter in the middle.

Finally, I've finished the ink linework on Uncle Silas Book 1! All 126 pages worth.
I'm off to the pub for a gin and soda and a hearty steak...
and then it's onto the colours.
Thankfully Tom's working on the flatting and it looks like I've got a couple of other magic elves to help, so this stage should really scream ahead.

These were done as a caption competition on which I think is now kaput. They were used in the build up to the election, with a new cartoon every week which the public could enter captions for and vote on. Winners received a signed print of the cartoon in the post.
Lucky ducks.
